Islamic Therapy Counseling: Specialized Therapy for Muslims

Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatuLlahi wa barakatuhu

My name is Naielah. I am a down-to-earth, practical, and non-judgmental therapist and counselor.

Clients often describe their sessions with me as positive, comforting, and transformative.

I take a holistic approach by integrating Islamic spirituality into my work, catering to the mind–body–soul connection.

I listen with both compassion and insight, while also helping you uncover meaningful solutions to your challenges.

My goal is to support you through your life and relationship journey with care and guidance.

My work involves cultivating peace of mind and creating a balanced, purposeful life.

I have over 10 years of counseling experience, specializing in relationships. I help individuals work through resentment toward parents, family members, ex-spouses, and friends.

I use my training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to support clients with anxiety, low mood, perfectionism, and self-esteem issues.

My wide range of experience allows me to offer the best therapy experience for you.

I am also an Islamic studies teacher. Raised in America, I studied abroad in Syria and Jordan for over 20 years. I love helping my clients become closer to Allah Most High and practicing the sunna of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Through my online sessions, I have worked with thousands of clients from all over the world (USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Australia, Africa, & the Middle East).

Life can feel heavy at times, but change is always possible. If you’re looking for support, I’d love to meet you and see how we can work together toward the life you truly want.

Choosing who you marry is one of the most important decisions that you will ever make for your life.

The way you treat each other will greatly impact the quality of your worldly life. In fact, happily married couples have longer lifespans and are less likely to have poor mental health – whereas the opposite is sadly true.

This is why it is extremely important to exert oneself to find the right spouse and learn how to manage a blissful marital relationship from the start.

Naielah is a qualified CBT therapist, an experienced Muslim marriage counselor of over 10 years, and an Islamic studies teacher for over 15 years.

She has helped hundreds of women and couples with almost a decade of coaching experience with clients from all over the world (USA, Canada, UK, Europe, Australia, Africa, & the Middle East).

We believe that a successful Muslim marriage is based upon the teachings of Allah Most High and His Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace). The best examples can be seen within the marriages between the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) and his wives (Allah be pleased with them).

We realize from their stories that a successful Muslim marriage is built and sustained through showing love, compassion, consideration, respect, appreciation, gratitude, patience, and sacrifice towards each other.

Furthermore, a successful Muslim couple can identify and empathize with each other’s needs, boundaries, and vulnerabilities. At the heart of it, the two are best friends.

Sessions are conducted in a comfortable and relaxed environment via Zoom or in person.

Clients can ask as many marriage questions as they like and consult the coach for her professional opinion.

"I can not recommend sister Naielah enough, it was lovely to work with her in our premarital counselling sessions. She is incredibly easy to talk to, non-judgmental and has endless tips as well as anecdotes to illustrate her teaching. Anyone looking to do their nikkah and contemplating pre-marital counselling… do it!! Without a doubt a great way to form the foundation of a healthy marriage inshallah and Naielah facilitates some really great (and important) conversations. The hour long sessions would fly-by as she has a way of describing ideas and concepts that keeps you engaged (as well as actively participating). I really appreciate the help she has given us and hope that more people can utilise service like this that only help strengthen a marriage!"

"My main takeaway was the fact that all the sessions were well-designed and organized in a way that all the main topics were talked about and we were also given the option to add our own topics. I also learnt a lot from case studies and it was nice that both people's opinions were taken on those topics. I would definitely recommend the program to others. I think this is something everyone should go through because people can easily be shy to bring up certain topics with their potential spouse."

"I absolutely would recommend the Premarital Program and coaching to others. The content that was discussed in the sessions are all very important things that should be discussed prior to thinking of getting married to someone. It's so important to ask these questions/discuss things such as family planning, money, conflict resolution, in-laws, values, etc prior to marriage so I am very grateful to sister Naielah for asking it in a way where I felt comfortable enough to be raw and honest and open to hearing what the other had to say as well. I firmly believe that doing the premarital program helped to build that healthy foundation. Alhamdullilah, grateful to have found this program."

"These sessions taught me a lot about communication styles and how to effectively communicate with your partner. It also taught me about learning the others' differences and adapting your way of thinking/behaving based on this. Naielah was very informative and has a great way of coaching while still remaining fun and lighthearted. I think other young, newly married or about-to-be married couples can benefit from this program."
