Premarital Coaching Terms Of Agreement

The terms of agreement apply to all private coaching sessions with the coach and take effect as soon as the clients pay for the first session.

The coach may stop coaching the clients upon their failure to uphold the terms of agreement.

Disclaimer: Muslima Coaching is a coaching service that is centered around professional coaching tactics and religious guidance. It is not a replacement for professional psychological and psychiatric services, medical treatment, legal mediation, or a fatwa from a mufti.

The coach reserves the right to stop coaching the clients upon realizing that:

  • the client or spouse is addicted to drugs, alcohol, or any other illegal substance
  • the client or spouse is physically violent or emotionally abusive
  • the client or spouse is not faithful to the relationship (exceptions may apply)
  • the client or spouse has a medically diagnosed mental / psychological disorder or personality disorder
  • the client or spouse has a history of trauma and has not sought professional help for it
  • the client or spouse is suicidal or self-harms
  • the client or spouse is not interested in an Islamic faith-based service

In these situations, we encourage families to seek support from appropriate mental health, medical, or safeguarding services.

No refunds will be given for past or future sessions.

Section A. Session Structure

  1. The premarital coaching program consists of four sessions. Each session is a 60-minute private video or audio session with the coach.
  2. The day and time of the session will be previously agreed upon by both the clients and the coach. Appointments must be arranged 48 hours prior to the meeting.
  3. It costs 199 British pounds / 250 US dollars for the entire program.
  4. If the couple would like extra sessions with the coach, the agreement will be based on Muslima Coaching’s couples coaching terms of agreement.
  5. Upon understanding the nature of the situation, the coach may request additional sessions with the potential bride or groom separately instead of together. There will be an additional charge for any extra time given by the coach based on Muslima Coaching’s one-on-one terms of agreement.

Section B. Session Communication Medium

  1. Sessions are held online via Zoom or Google Meet.
  2. If the clients opt to speak via the phone, all phone charges will be paid for by the clients. The coach is not responsible for calling the client’s phone or any payment to a land line/cell phone.
  3. In the event that the internet connection is unstable, the clients have the option to reschedule the session appointment or call the coach via her land/cell phone. All phone charges will be paid for by the client. The coach is not responsible for calling the client’s phone or any payment to a land line/cell phone.

Section C. Privacy & Respect

  1. Sessions are confidential except where there are safeguarding concerns, risk of harm to self or others, or legal obligations requiring disclosure.
  2. The clients promise to be honest about what is happening within their lives and to answer the coach’s questions to the best of their ability.
  3. The clients promise to respect the views of the coach.
  4. The coach promises to respect the views of the clients.
  5. The coach reserves the right to take notes about what is mentioned during the session.
  6. The coach reserves the right to consult Muslima Coaching’s internal advisor in matters that may require a second opinion. This decision is left to the coach’s discretion.
  7. Muslima Coaching’s program provides the tools to help the clients decide if they want to marry and how to resolve potential issues as a couple. The coach will not decide if they should actually marry.
  8. Muslima Coaching is not liable for any future marriage problems or unforeseen circumstances after the couple marries.

Section D. Session Logistics

  1. Sessions will start on time.
  2. Sessions will be held via Google Meet or Zoom.
  3. The clients are required to have a working microphone and/or headset.
  4. Clients must use their video camera during the session unless the coach agrees to do audio-only.
  5. Technology problems must be resolved by the clients and not the coach.
  6. Children are not permitted to attend the session. This is to ensure maximum concentration.

Section E. Homework

  1. The clients promise to execute the coach’s suggestions and to complete their homework assignments to the best of their ability.
  2. The coach reserves the right to stop coaching the clients upon the failure to attempt the suggestions or homework assignments. No refunds will be given.

Section F. Email Support

  1. The potential groom and bride are each given unlimited email access to the coach.
  2. The coach will respond within 72 hours unless there are unexpected issues or emergency circumstances.
  3. The coach reserves the right to suggest that the email be discussed in a private session instead of through email.

Section G. Sharing Copyrighted Material

  1. The clients are not permitted to copy, share, distribute, or use any copyrighted material of Muslima Coaching without prior permission from Muslima Coaching.
  2. All PDF and Word Documents are permitted to be saved to the client’s computer.

Section H. Recording Sessions

  1. The clients are not permitted to record the sessions, whether by means of audio or video.
  2. The coach will not accept requests to be recorded.

Section I. Missed Sessions Due To Client & Cancelations

  1. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the session date/time can be rescheduled within 2 months. After 2 months, the session is forfeited. Refunds requested within 2 months of cancellation may be offered, subject to a 10% processing fee.
  2. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours‘ notice are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. This may include cancellations due to illness or personal emergencies, but exceptions may be made at the counselor’s discretion.
  3. If a client does not show up within the first 15 minutes of the session, the coach reserves the right to cancel the session. No refunds will be given.
  4. No-show clients or frequent cancelations may prevent the opportunity to book future appointments.

Section J. Missed Sessions Due to Coach & Cancellations

  1. Any sessions missed due to the coach’s absence will be made up upon further notice of the coach’s circumstances.
  2. The coach may cancel a session appointment if full payment is not received 24 hours before the session begins. Full payment is the only means to officially confirm the appointment slot.
  3. The coach may cancel a session appointment if the potential husband or wife client questionnaire is not submitted at least 48 hours prior to the time the first session begins.
  4. The coach may cancel future sessions if she feels that the clients are not cooperating with her. Refunds will be given for unfulfilled sessions. No refunds will be given for sessions that were conducted.

Section K. Payment

  1. Once paid, all fees are non-refundable.
  2. Fees must be paid 24 hours prior to the first session unless further agreed upon by the coach.
