Assalamu alaykum!

My name is Naielah, and I'm here to help.

I am a down-to-earth Muslim mental health counselor, life coach, and Islamic studies teacher who is excited to help you navigate your life in the direction you want it to be inshaAllah.

I know what it is like to feel lost, confused, lonely and demotivated. I experienced loads of ups and downs throughout my life, especially as a teenager!

That’s why I am super passionate about helping Muslim teens live a successful, spiritually grounded lifestyle.

My goal is to help you learn the tools to overcome and deal with troubling emotions, like anxiety, sadness, guilt, disappointment, anger, or loneliness.

We can talk about...

Let's start by answering common questions...

Our counseling service is a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, as well as learn how to navigate emotional, social, and personal challenges.

Counseling may help you:

  • regulate emotions
  • improve communication skills
  • build confidence and self-esteem
  • set healthy boundaries
  • work toward personal goals
  • navigate major life changes (such as the death of a loved one, divorce of parents, moving to a new city, or friendship difficulties)

Our approach is informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, solution-focused coaching strategies, and Islamic guidance based on the Qur’an and Sunnah.

No. Counseling sessions are one-on-one between the teen and counselor.

However, parents or guardians may request a separate parent consultation session to discuss general concerns, ask questions about the counseling process, or receive guidance on how to better support their teen.

In general, what you share in counseling is confidential, and it will not be shared with your parents.

However, there are certain situations where confidentiality may need to be broken in order to keep you or someone else safe.

This includes situations where:

  • there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or others
  • abuse or neglect of a child or vulnerable person is disclosed or suspected
  • there are legal or safeguarding obligations requiring disclosure

Where appropriate, I will aim to discuss any necessary disclosures with you first.

No. Counseling is not about forcing you to make certain decisions or telling you how to live your life.
The goal is to listen, understand your perspective, and help you develop healthy ways of thinking, coping, and responding to challenges. You are actively involved in the process, and your comfort and input matter.

All sessions are online via Zoom. We do not offer in-person sessions.

In general, our sessions are from 1 pm to 9 pm UK / 8 am to 4 pm New York from Sunday to Friday.

If you cannot make those timings, you can suggest a different time, but it will be subject to the availability of my schedule.

The first session is a 30-minute “meet-up” session, which costs $30 USD / £25 GBP. During this session, we will discuss your current challenges, relationships, interests, and goals for counseling.

If you decide to continue, follow-up sessions are 50 to 60 minutes and cost $65 USD / £50 GBP. The number of sessions varies depending on your needs and goals, though many teens benefit from approximately six weekly sessions.

However, there is no obligation to commit to a set number of sessions unless agreed upon in advance.

At this time, our counseling services are only available for girls ages 16 and older.

Yes. Our services are not designed to provide crisis support or specialist mental health treatment.

We are not the right fit if a teen is:

  • experiencing severe or high-risk mental health difficulties
  • at significant risk of harming themselves or others
  • experiencing an eating disorder
  • experiencing psychosis, mania, or other conditions requiring specialist psychiatric care
  • currently experiencing abuse or neglect that requires immediate safeguarding intervention

In these situations, we encourage families to seek support from appropriate mental health, medical, or safeguarding services.
