Ustadha Naielah is truly remarkable and empathetic…Her support extends beyond simple encouragement; she genuinely understands my struggles and guides me to realise important truths. I also value how she incorporates Islamic values into our sessions, which resonates with my cultural background and makes me feel truly heard. Her holistic approach not only addresses my emotional needs but also empowers me to navigate life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
Naiela is the best Counsellor I have ever used! She is extremely professional, attentive and cares about you deeply. She is the only person I have felt outside of my family that I have felt so comfortable with!! She has helped me so much with my self-worth, relationships and belief. I’m so grateful to Allah that he answered my dua with finding a therapist that could help me!
COMMON QUESTIONS
The sessions are a safe space for you to explore your life and thoughts. CBT therapy actively promotes the idea of a client-therapist alliance. We will work together and at your pace to bring changes to your life.
The first session is an online 30-minute assessment session. We assess your situation together and plan how to possibly move forward.
Following the assessment session, you will receive an email with details for how I suggest we proceed. You can accept, reject, or ask for clarification about the plan.
Practice (homework) will be given after each session so that you can take what you learn in the session with you throughout the week.
My sessions are tailor-made to fit your circumstances. However, the success of the therapy is dependent upon your willingness to follow-through with what is discussed and agreed on.
The online assessment session is 30 minutes. It costs £25 GBP.
Each follow-up session is 60-minutes. It costs £60 GBP per session.
Depending on the issue, you will be asked to commit yourself to 4 to 10 follow-up sessions. This will be explained to you after the initial assessment meeting.
Payment is via cash or UK bank transfer.
The 30-minute assessment session is held online via Zoom. It costs £25 GBP.
The 60-minute follow-up sessions are held at a location in East London (postcode: RM6). The exact details will only be shared with clients who want to continue with sessions. It costs £60 GBP per follow-up session.
In person sessions are only offered from 12 pm to 5 pm on Saturdays.
If you cannot make those timings, you can suggest a different time, but it will be subject to the availability of my schedule.
I also offer online counseling from Sundays to Fridays. Please click HERE to view this option.
As much as I would like to help everyone, I do not offer therapy for sexual trauma, emotional or physical abuse, personality disorders (e.g. narcissism, bpd, etc.), self-harm, suicide, substance misuse, or mental disorders (e.g. psychosis, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, etc).
I suggest contacting professional psychological and psychiatric support for these issues, such as 111, Samaritans, or NHS Talking Therapies.
As Muslims, our daily lives are often influenced by the noble teachings of Islam. This is why we actively seek a therapist or counselor who shares our faith. We want to learn how to heal but without the worry of compromising our religious conviction and practice in the process.
As a female Muslim Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT) therapist and Islamic counselor, I want to reassure you that my sessions are faith-based, and they will be a means to healing and self-discovery insha’Allah.

Why Choosing a Muslim Therapist Matters: My Aim As A Female Muslim Therapist
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors.
The core idea behind CBT is that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected. By changing one of these things, a person can release themselves from a negative cycle and learn the tools for a more promising lifestyle.
I trained to become a CBT therapist because CBT is known to be the most effective therapy for many mental health issues. AlhamduliLlah my journey began with a post-graduate CBT practitioner program accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS). It is taught by expert clinical psychologists and accredited CBT therapists.
After witnessing the success of CBT firsthand, my goal as a Muslim therapist and Islamic counselor is to make CBT more accessible to Muslims. Through affordable prices and online worldwide access, I pray that more Muslims will benefit.
